Reese’s Popcorn

My husband isn’t much of a sweets eater but he loves ice cream and Reese’s peanut butter cups.  I try to make easy homemade recipes that I know he will enjoy so I’m not the only one eating them.  And I love him so much that I made Reese’s popcorn the other night.  And what I really mean is I made it for me and shared some with him.  That’s the same thing right?  [Smile and nod.  Smile and nod.]

Reese's Covered Popcorn by the Grant life

This popcorn was simple to make and tasted just like a Reese’s peanut buttercup!  [In popcorn form of course!]  To make your own you will need:

  • Chocolate bark
  • 1 spoonful of peanut butter
  • 1 large Reese’s
  • 1 bag of popcorn

Reese's and Chocolate Covered Popcorn

Melt everything together in a double boiled except the popcorn.  [You can see the faux double boiler I used in my salted caramel bark and my chocolate covered strawberries.]  Drizzle the chocolate mixture over the popcorn and mix with a spoon.  Or your hands if you want to in on the chocolate+peanut butter action.  Let it cool for about an hour.

Reese's Covered Popcorn

The only downfall about this popcorn is it didn’t stay fresh for very long so we had to it all right away.  Which was easy to do, but just a word of warning.  This would be a great easy homemade gift for teachers or neighbors too.  I would just make a double batch because you are going to want to eat it if you are making it.  [Trust me.]
