Hey yall! I hope everyone had a nice weekend! We hung out around the house and then went to the see the Nutcracker today. Ryley and I went last year and she loved it but this year we took the boys. I’m not going to lie – I was nervous about Avery. I wasn’t sure he would stay quiet or sit still for any of the show. I told Ryon going in that I would be happy if we made it to intermission.
Before the show started Avery kept asking very loudly “WHERE IS THE NUTCRACKER?? I DON’T SEE HIM!” This is it – I thought – we are going to have to leave before it even starts. But once the lights dimmed and the music started he was enamored. He sat with his head on Ryon’s shoulder the whole time and just watched in amazement.
We were able to see both halves and when we walked out he said “I LOVE THE NUTCRACKER!” and bounced all the way to the car. Color me shocked and surprised but I’ll take it! On to the food..
Monday – Fried Ricotta cheese salad // Oh how I love me some Ricotta cheese! It makes everything so much better!
Tuesday – Sun dried tomato and artichoke pasta // I’m pretty sure I could live off of sun dried tomatoes and artichokes. And pasta.
Wednesday – Roasted tomato skillet pasta // An easy one pot meal with tons of flavor thanks to homemade roasted tomatoes!
Thursday – BBQ chicken pizza skillet lasagna // It’s like all my favorite comfort foods in one meal!
Friday – Grilled chicken and bacon pizza // My mouth is watering a little bit just thinking about this pizza!
Dessert – Caramel apple shortcakes // These would be perfect for dessert or to wrap and give as gifts!
Breakfast – Cinnamon roll french toast bake // Oh this sounds delicious and would be so great for Christmas morning!
