I have been so excited with how my little seedlings have been doing in the windowsill the past few weeks. They were growing so fast that I had to transplant them to give them more room. Ryon built me a beautiful planter box out of pallets and I transferred them this weekend. With a little help from my best friend Starbucks.
Last week we went on a special family dinner date with the kids. Ryon is leaving for a week and we wanted to have a nice dinner out before he left. We ended the night by shopping for a few necessities. Starbucks coffee and apple pie were very high on that list.
When we buy Starbucks its a treat. We love the coffee but sometimes the price is a little high for a single income family. Most Walmarts have a special display right now with more information on the coffee and the pie.
We also grabbed a Bakery at Walmart Apple Pie. The price on Walmart bakery items is really good! We also bought some cookies and a few other things that we needed at the house.
So with coffee and pie near by, I started transplanting my indoor seedlings. It was nice to get them in the ground and have a clear windowsill again.
They were really easy to transplant from the cardboard planters there were in. The foil held in the water very well and they just peeled apart. I broke them into sections and dug far enough down to cover the entire top of the cube. It was a quick and easy process.
Now my little babies have a nice place to grow out in the sun. I have really enjoyed watching my little plants grow and I hope that they take off in planter. Im also glad I had Starbucks coffee to help me get the job done. I ran my first 5k on Saturday so I was definitely dragging on Sunday. It was a great pick me to get me going on my garden. Plus, the pie was a great treat when I came it.
What helps you get motivated on a lazy Sunday?
