It makes me laugh when things come back in style from when I younger. I think I would be the coolest mom on the block if I had kept my Bongo jeans, my Air Force Ones, and my Furby. [I mean cooler then I am now, clearly.] I would have loved to pass those down to Ryley one day. One thing that I can share with my daughter are jellies! I wore jelly sandals when I was younger and I am excited because jellies are back!
We received a pair to review and it was up in the air if they would send a pair for Ryley or me. When I opened the package I realized they were too small for me, and was kinda sad for a minute. [Mom of the year, I know.] Then Ryley saw her new shoes and was so happy. She kept talking about her new pink shoes and has worn them every day since they came in the mail.
I really like the fact that they fit true to size. I’ve ordered shoes online before and they are either way to big or she grows out of them in a week. She is a nine and the nines fit perfectly. Plus, they are easy to put on and she can do it herself without having to remove the strap. [Ah, the magic of jellies.]
When I picked her up from school the first full day she wore them, the teacher told me that Ryley had said her feet hurt. Im pretty sure it was just her getting use to the new shoes because she hasn’t complained about them since or worn a different pair of shoes. [And girlfriend has some shoes.] They also are on the expensive side for sandals. I don’t remember how much jellies cost when I was little but I don’t think they were as pricey. But they do have free shipping in the US, so thats a plus.
It will be fun to see the other things that come back in style and I can share with Ryley. Itll be neat to say I wore that, or had that toy when I was a little girl. For now Im happy to share Jelly Beans with her and see what other things come back around.
Did you have jellies when you were younger?
