Holiday Beauty Ideas {Guest post by Ma Nouvelle Mode!}

Do you remember the prettiest girl in your high school and how she always had the coolest clothes and the best hair?  Ya me too.  Well, that girl grew up, married a basketball player and moved to France with her two adorable boys.  She still wears the coolest clothes and has the best hair though.  But unlike the actual girl from high school, Natalia is the sweetest person ever.  She blogs over at Ma Nouvelle Mode and I just love love love her site.  She is our guest today and I am so excited to have her!  Check out her holiday beauty ideas and make sure you stop by her site too!

Hello Grant Life readers! I am so happy to be here today.  Thank you Kelley for allowing me to post on your lovely blog!!

For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Natalia and I blog over at Ma Nouvelle Mode.  If you are wondering what that means, it is French for ‘my new style.’  Now you are probably wondering “why French?”  Well, it just so happens that I am living here in France with my husband and two boys.  My husband plays basketball here, and the boys and I are his biggest fans! Over at my place, you can find a mix of fashion, beauty, hair, makeup, and of course some of our crazy life of traveling the globe.  But today with Christmas upon us, I thought I would do a post on holiday beauty ideas!

Here are a few tips of mine for you to look fresh, fun, and beautiful for all those holiday parties I am sure you get to attend!

1.) Find a skin care regimen that works & stick to it!  The last thing you need right around this time are some unwanted ‘friends’ all over your face.  If you have a skin care regimen that works, now is not the time to change it up.  If you don’t, you mind want to explore some other options.  Just don’t get too crazy!

2.) Lay off the sweets!  Sorry, you might hate me for this one.  But to keep your skin (and your figure) fresh and beautiful, sweets aren’t gonna help!!  Most likely, all that deliciousness will be hard to avoid anyway, so substitute a big glass of water when you have the chance.

3.)Try deep conditioner.  Of course we all want our hair to look like we just stepped out of a Pantene ProV commercial!  A few days before your big party, try a deep conditioner.  Or if you want to really splurge, get it done at the salon!  I have done that once before and my hair was like silk.  It was fabulous.
4.)  Prepare!  If you have a few parties to attend, you might want to plan ahead in the way of outfits and makeup choices.  If they are all completely separate groups of people, you won’t have to worry about doubling up.  But if there are going to be cross-overs, you might want to make sure you have your choices ahead of time so you don’t look like you have one nice cocktail dress.  Unless you do.  Then get creative with it!  Different shoes, cute sequins sweater, different clutch, different hair and makeup, scarf draped different ways, the options are endless! Now, just for fun, here is what I would love to be wearing this holiday season.  I won’t be, because for one, I am already 6 feet tall, so I only dream of heels like this!  Two, I really don’t have any parties to attend!! So sad, I know!

I do know what I will be doing, however!  I will be rocking some fierce bold lips colors!  It is my new favorite thing!  I strongly suggest you give it a try, you will love it!!  No turning back, I promise!
Well thank you so much for letting me be here today!  I hope you enjoyed my little holiday post and I would love for you to come by and visit sometime!!  Make sure you leave a comment, I love meeting new people!
Thank you Natalia!  You are awesome and your outfit is ahhhh-mazing!  Ps.. she is the one who shows me how to get no heat curls.  Make sure you show her some love!

    Oooh, Natalia, I love that outfit. Those gold shoes are amazing! Haha, I was just lamenting to Josiah that we don't have any parties to attend this year either ;-) I'm getting my Christmas day outfit together though! So far, I have a short-ish hot pink pleated skirt–my first hot pink wardrobe item. Eee! Trying to figure out what to pair it with. And too funny you mentioned deep conditioning your hair; it's on my list this week!

    Hey Kelley and Natalia! Great guest post and awesome blog!!! I need a new skin regimen, I've found some great new products, but I have yet to find a better cleanser than the one I am using now. I was using one from Lancome that I loved, I can't think of what it is called at the moment, my mom got it as a sample when she bought something at the counter. I've been using it ever since, but have run out and it's expensive and I can't afford to buy it.I'm using another one, can't think of what it is called either..too early this morning, lol. I don't like it, it makes my skin so dry.

    Plus I've been on medication these past few weeks and that tends to dry me out as well. So, I'm just really frustrated at the moment, a lot of the big brands dry me out, even Mary Kay. I've been using a scrub that I got and it is wonderful, I would use that and the Lancome after and my skin felt amazing. Now the cleanser I'm using has dried me out. I need to find a new product and I don't have a clue what to use. Any suggestions would be great.

    I also wanted to say you are stunning! I've always wanted to visit France, I have an obsession with France, England, Italy and Ireland, my cats names are Bridget and Gigi and my bathroom is dedicated to Paris. I've not had the chance to go yet, but it is a goal. I can't even imagine how beautiful it is.

    Anyway, sorry for the book. My name is Sarah, I just started following, I found you at Blog Hop till You Drop, I'm following via GFC, Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter. My blog is called Skylar Magazine. I would love for you both to stop by and would love to have you both as a new friends and followers.

    Thanks and Happy Holidays! Have a fabulous Friday and weekend!

    Some great tips there. I've always looked at those deep conditioning treatments in the supermarket and wondered if they're worth it! You've inspired me to try one out!
