Im pretty sure that yall know I love pumpkin season. I dedicated a whole week to sharing new pumpkin recipes, I have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to them and I talk about them constantly. I love everything about pumpkins but I especially love cooking with them. I’ve pumpkin in cakes, oatmeal, French toast and even in a chai latte but I had never used pumpkin in an easy homemade dinner recipe before. That is, until now. I was sent a few cans of the new Wolf Brand Chili to try and I knew I wanted to try something new. Something delicious. Something like pumpkin chili!
Im sure I have a few of you shaking your head at me now, but hear me out. Its good yall! Its a combination of two of my fall favorites – chili and pumpkins. It was destined to come together. And its so easy to make. Like I only used four ingredients easy.
To make your own pumpkin chili you will need:
- 1 can of Wolf Brand Chili [no beans]
- 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree [Libby’s is my favorite]
- 1/2 can of beans of your choice [I used kidney]
Combine your chili, beans and pumpkin in a small saucepan until blended. Heat until bubbling. Spoon into bowls, top with cheese and enjoy!
Yup. Its really that easy. The Wolf Brand Chili and the pumpkin work so well together because the chili is thick and hearty and the pumpkin is creamy and delicious. Its like a ying and yang recipe. Oh and the cheese is like the icing on the cake. Or the cheese on the chili. However you want to look at it, its amazing.
