Easy Homemade Recipe: Crockpot Pulled Pork Sliders

I’ve mentioned before that I love to play jokes on my husband when it comes to dinner time.  Sometimes I do the opposite of telling him I forgot to cook and text him pictures of what I have planned for dinner.  When I sent him a text of these crockpot pulled pork sliders he texted back “Yes!  Ill be right home!”.  [Seriously.]  So sometimes I do play a good wife and prepare a nice meal for my family.  Plus these are an easy homemade recipe that are perfect for football season.  Its like the two things that truly make some men happy – football and food for football.

Easy homemade recipe Crockpot pulled pork sliders

There are two parts to these crockpot pulled pork sliders – the crockpot part and the slider part.  To create the pulled pork you need:

  • Pork Roast or Pork Tenderloin
  • Barbecue Sauce of your choice [I used Sweet Baby Rays]

Put the frozen pork in the crockpot.  Add two cups of bbq sauce.  Set the crockpot on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4 -6.  Use a fork to shred the pork.  [Seriously.  Thats it.]

To make the sliders you need:

  • Slider buns
  • Butter
  • Coleslaw

Butter the insides of the buns and toast them on a griddle or pan.  Place some pulled pork on the bottom and coleslaw on top of that.  Add the top of your bun and enjoy!

Perfect for football! Easy crockpot pulled pork sliders My goal when I cook is to make a meal one day and be able to use the meat for multiple meals throughout the week.  Its easy to just add veggies or pasta when you already have the main ingredient cooked and ready to go.  I used a pork tenderloin and we have so much pulled pork leftover that I don’t know what to do with it.  Besides make more pulled pork sliders of course.  But we can only eat those for so many days. Im going to have to get creative here pretty quick.
