We are living in my home town, which is awesome because so do my best friends from high school. The best part is that their kids are around the same age as ours so we get together often for play dates and birthday parties. Or for a Bolthouse Farms taste testing happy hour. While the kids were playing, we were sampling 10 different varieties of Bolthouse Farms beverages. I called it a “happy hour” but our drinks didn’t have any alcohol in them. Until we put the kids to bed. Check out what our favorite drinks were from the party and what we created after our little ones were sleeping!
Everyone gathered around our island and taste tested the drinks. We all tried the 10 varieties that I had picked up for the happy hour. It was fun to chat and sip with my friends while the kids had their own party going on in the next room.
We even had one of our littlest guests sampled some of the drinks with us. Bolthouse Farms: loved by adults and little ones! [Insert cheesy smile and finger pointing to product here.] Some of the drinks were great and people went back for seconds. And then some of them were not so great and we all laughed at the weird faces they made when they tasted it. [Hey, what are friends for!]
Everyone enjoyed the smoothies which included Amazing Mango, Berry Boost, C-Boost, Blue Goodness and Green Goodness. Most people liked the Protein Plus drinks especially the coffee and mango flavors. And almost everyone agreed that the carrot juices were at the bottom of their list; although they were a hit with the kids! [You can see them all here.] My favorite was the Vanilla Chai Tea so after everyone left and we put the kids to bed, I had a little night cap. Or as I like to call it – a Silent Night Cap!
To make the Silent Night Cap I used:
- 1 teaspoon bourbon
- 1 teaspoon amaretto
- 1 cup Bolthouse Vanilla Chai Tea
- Cinnamon sugar
I wet the rim of the glass and added rolled it in the cinnamon sugar. Then, I added everything to a glass and mixed it with a cinnamon stick.
I made Ryon taste it first and he loved it! He said the flavors went so well together. When I finally got a taste of my own, he was right. [Ill deny I ever admitted that, just FYI.] It was delicious! We sat on the couch and shared our night cap before heading to bed. It was the perfect ending to a fun day surrounded by friends and family.
Bolthouse also has a pretty cool promotion going on right now. You take a picture of ANY of their products [in a store, in an ad, in your hand, etc], share it and tag it with #carrotfarmers and #got coupon. They will send you an electronic coupon for $1.50 off any drink! [Which makes them about a dollar each!] So you can have your own happy hour.. or night cap!
